Sense Detectives is a fun and supportive occupational therapy group designed for children who experience challenges with recognising and responding to their internal body signals (a skill known as interoception). These difficulties may present as emotional outbursts, low frustration tolerance, toileting concerns, frequent meltdowns, or trouble identifying how they feel in their bodies.

The group helps children become “detectives” of their own body clues learning to notice and make sense of signals like hunger, thirst, tiredness, pain, and emotions. This increased self-awareness lays the foundation for improved emotional regulation, emotional intelligence, and the ability to make more regulated choices across environments.

Parents and caregivers are invited to participate in the journey. Through hands-on involvement, they’ll gain practical tools and language to support your child’s emotional needs at home, helping to build consistency and confidence across settings.
